lyrics
I see your name in the shower
In the mold in the tile
I see your name in the yellow of my teeth
When I force a smile
I see your name in the wrinkles of my face
I try to smooth you out
You're not real but you take up so much space
And I can't root you out
I hear your name when the engine kicks back
I smell you in the fumes
I feel you hiding under the mess
In the edge of the room
You're there when the angles are off
I wonder where you've been
I hear your name rattle in my cough
Oh no, not this again
It's cancer in my brain
Or I'm just going insane
It'll kill me either way
That's The Game
I'll scrub until I bleed
If that's what you need
You'll kill me just the same
That's The Game
I love this demo. It's like early Oxblood, but from rural Alabama. The guitarist was in a band called Jackpot Justice that I used to see all the time when I was a kid. Lost Legion
This is one of those albums where I have a different favourite track every week, and it's been like that since the release that is now a year ago. What a massive album, starting out with fist pumping chants and gradually getting more electro but always with that punk grit attitude. Top 3 of 2023. Gijs van Soest
Dead Cross, Retox, and Qui members dish out subversive hardcore with an indignant smirk; come for the riffs, stay for the synth experiments. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 31, 2024
