lyrics
Slippery and slick sick children in heat. We’re tied forever to the first ones that we meet. You grow up to live alone and you hunt for what you need. We’re feral animals spreading our seed.
Hide away in memory. Tangled nerves and spoiled meat. The animals we used to be. Futures we’ll never see of standing on two feet. The animals we used to be. Running free in the street.
You look at me like we’re not the same. They clipped our tails and they gave us all new names. You can put me on a leash and tell me that I’m tame, but who’s really in control, the body or the brain?
Do you remember me, did we ever meet the animals we used to be? I doubt my memory, I wonder how we’d greet the animals we used to be, running free in the street.
I love this demo. It's like early Oxblood, but from rural Alabama. The guitarist was in a band called Jackpot Justice that I used to see all the time when I was a kid. Lost Legion

This is one of those albums where I have a different favourite track every week, and it's been like that since the release that is now a year ago. What a massive album, starting out with fist pumping chants and gradually getting more electro but always with that punk grit attitude. Top 3 of 2023. Gijs van Soest

Hmmm. I thought maybe there was a brief nod on “Security” to The Effigies song of the same name. Probably a coincidence. Looking forward to the new LP! Joe
Dead Cross, Retox, and Qui members dish out subversive hardcore with an indignant smirk; come for the riffs, stay for the synth experiments. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 31, 2024
Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
